2026 Industry Partners

On behalf of The Foundation for Research and Education in Esophageal and Foregut Disease, Inc., we are pleased to announce the upcoming continuing medical educational activity entitled, “Medical and Surgical Aspects of Esophageal and Foregut Disorders.” This unique educational event takes place annually on one of the Hawaiian Islands, typically in February. The 5-day course is co-directed by Dr. Steven DeMeester, Dr. Stu Spechler, and Dr. Philip Katz. It is one of the longest-running post-graduate courses in the United States and a perennial favorite among physicians and allied health professionals interested in diseases of the esophagus and stomach.

2026 will be the 41st year of the course, and we are pleased to again bring together outstanding leaders in the field of esophageal disease as faculty. The faculty brings broad experience in benign and malignant esophageal disease and includes a mixture of gastroenterologists and surgeons from diverse locations to ensure a comprehensive, state-of-the-art, yet balanced approach to diagnosing and managing patients with esophageal and foregut disorders. Attendees come from all parts of the United States and often there are international attendees. Attendees are primarily surgeons and gastroenterologists but also typically include pathologists, oncologists, fellows, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
